Wednesday's cooking


This is the first time I have brined a turkey!
I learned that you need a fresh turkey to do this
because frozen turkey are already injected with a sodium solution.

It's really not hard at all
and it was very good!

And I made green bean casserole from scratch..
.made my own cheese sauce
added bacon and pimentos
and topped it with french fried onions!

DELISH!!

Forgot to get pictures of the stuffing
but i also made this from scratch.

It consisted of
cornbread
artisan bread
french bread
sausage
mushrooms
and apples.

The mushrooms were my favorite part!

Now all that is left is roasting the turkey
and of course the ham!
