Friday we decided to take a day trip to OKC
to visit the OKC Memorial of the 1995 bombing.
We left about noon and got to OKC around 2 pm
Just as we turned off the interstate the vans transmission decided to quit working!!!
I had a van full of six kids
it was raining
we all had to pee super bad
call a transmission shop
and they came and towed the fan and the family
to their shop
and proceeded to help us find a car to rent so we could finish out our day and make it back to Tulsa.
This is how we all felt...

It took us 3 hours to finally be on our way.

There were some smiles though.
This is what one worker wrote of the wall of the building adjacent to the building that was bombed.

Chase with smiles now...

This is the entrance gate with the time just before the bombing.

Another family picture
but anyway,

Another family picture
each chair signifies a victim who was killed in the bomb
there are nine rows
with the number of people killed in each row
correlating with the number of victims on each floor.
Big chairs represent adults
Big chairs represent adults
Small chairs represent a child
Each chair has a name of a victim.
but also an enlightening one
where you saw a community
coming to the aide of each other.
Well worth the time and effort spent.
We saw this Toby Keith's restaurant
but decided it was too pricey
and opted for a pizzaria
that was not great
a ice cream treat.
We made it home around 10 pm
and it felt good to be home.

That sounds like a really cool trip... minus the transmission going out :) It just looks super interesting... maybe you'll have to take me there sometime.
