In the air there is a feeling of excitement.
School has started.
New schedules are being routed.
New school supplies are being tried out.
New friends are being made.
Old friends are being caught up on.
There is anxiety about ability to complete requirements of enrolled courses
and just what it all means.
It makes me look back at the summer and wonder where it all went.
We had an awesome summer and there was little we didn't do.
Here are a few a the pictures I took of our summer.
I am not a professional...and really don't have an eye for photography like some of you.
But below is what I captured of our
Summer :
I got a pretty good deal on airline tickets to Utah and so our Summer started out with a trip to Utah. Lexi went a few weeks earlier than the rest of us (she actually took her finals early and left before school was out) to visit her friend Amanda and attend Amanda's graduation.
The rest of us followed and the first thing we did was visit the Quirrah Temple. It was at this time the open house for the temple was going on and so Grandma B made reservations bright and early the day after we got there.
It is a very beautiful temple that sits right off of Redwood Road. It is a smaller temple...but very complete in every way. It was a wonderful time to teach the kids about the temple, what is done there and the importance of temples.

Afterwards we we to Magelby's Fresh and enjoyed a brunch and visiting with each other.
Later that day we visited Susan and her family.
Susan is always she a sweet hostess and we had a good time visiting with cousins.
Lacey and Faith
Beth and Grandma B We were so glad to meet Alan.
Beth also came for the visit. She had never been to Utah. How fun it was to have her come.
She now can relate to the stories we tell and has seen first hand many of the places.
We were able to take her temple square right before she left.
Lacey, Lexi, Chase, Davis, Beth and Addie all stayed at Carly's.
Quite of feat to have all those people in a 2 bedroom apartment!
Carly was also in the process of moving since Mike had taken a job in California.
We had a girls day where we met at this Tiawan restaurant and enjoye a yumy lunch. We then went shopping afterwards.I don't know how much help we were.
This is a picture of Avery and Chase playing in the soapy water that
Carly had cleaned the porch off with and then pushed off the balcony. They thought it was great fun to get soaked!
Can't hardly go a day without it.
On the left is Carly's friend (her name escapes me but she was so very sweet and helpful)
Carly and Lexi are on the right. You can see Carly's belly..
Sun Princess Avery
Two cute kids

All my brothers and sisters and spouses were there except for one brother.
It was so fun to see them all and visit.
Also good to have Beth meet all of them.
They all thought the world of her!

Lexi, Shawn and Chase cooling off and having fun on the tramp.
Baby D eating an all time favorite
We did Carly packed and they did make it to California.
We had a wonderful and memorable time in Utah.
It was cooler than normal and so we weren't able to go to 7 peaks much to the dismay of the kids. But we did have a great time doing everything else!
Swimming of course was a big pass time.
(Kena poo)
The fun trip to Callahan's farm.
Riding the 4 wheeler
Petting the animals
Oh the times they had playing with each other...
They had so much fun together...and they were always up to something...
(think we will stick with cow's milk...although we could get use to it if we had to)

Blueberry picking...I think we ate as much as we picked!
Silly girls with blueberries in the nostrils.
Swimming in Bob's pool
Playing soccer in the backyard
Every year it is my request to have my grandchildren old enough to leave the mommies come and spend a few days with Nuna.
We tie-dyed t-shirts and Camp Nuna
Played on the slip and slide, went to Big Splash, went shopping and just had a wonderful time with each other.
In a few days Alisha, Nate Dogg and Kena along with my good friend Natalie Davies and her daughter Hayley came for a visit.
So we brought Carden and Emma home for
"Camp Nuna"
I tried to download it here but it wouldn't work.
I did manage to download to my facebook.
If you have a few minutes go and take a look...it is so cute.

We so enjoyed visiting with them, going shopping, swimming, eating and watching movies.

So you can see we had a very eventful Summer.
Good Times!!!

I'm sad it's over!
It has been one of the best summers ever!
(This is Abby,not mom.
Lets hope that none of your kids have to write a paper on what they did on their summer break... that would be a novel! Giggle!! Loved seeing you all, glad everyone is safely home and settled.
You guys (well Mom) were actually very good helpers in the packing and cleaning areas. Thank you! I am glad that you guys were able to come hang out with us. The apartment was for sure crowded but that is how Mike and I like it. Looks like the rest of your summer was lots of fun! Good luck to the kids in school. Glad its not me!
Fun summer!
