Lexi Throughout the Years...

Okay so I am a little behind...okay okay so I am WAY behind. Lexi's birthday was 11.25 and here it is February and I am still trying to do her birthday post. But at least I am doing it!

I do have to give myself some credit because I have gotten a little more into this and so I have scanned 154 pictures of Lexi and so you can sorta see why it has taken me a little more time.

I am also trying to organize the millions of pictures that I have so bare (correct spelling?) with me and enjoy the Birthday Post of Lexi...

One proud and happy momma...number 6 is out of the oven.

Lexi was born at the hospital were I worked. At that time I was a staff nurse working in the newborn nursery. So this place was home away from home.

We were given top notch care mainly because my friends were the ones taking care of Lexi and me.

My mom came to help me when Lexi was born. It was thanksgiving the day after we got home. I was so very thankful that I had my mom helping me.

For the first 2 months if Lexi wasn't sleeping or eating she was crying...but after 2 months she was a very happy sweet baby.

When Lexi was 8 months old we went on a trip to New Mexico. While in Albuquerque we stopped at a store and I went around to open the back of the van and for some reason now forgotten when I opened the the hatch back Lexi came rolling out of the car and hit the pavement. We took her to the emergency room and they gave us the run around trying to figure out if I was an abusive parent...But I did realize that they did not know me from Adam and so I couldn't really blame them.

For the next 2 weeks everytime I looked at my baby I started to cry...

When Lexi was 4 she began swimming with the Madison Dolphins Swim Team. Her best time for the 25 free was 18:02...she took first place with that time when she was 8 years old.

She loved doing the breaststroke, as did all of the Haynies, and she was really good at it.
