Call Me Weird
I can't download any pictures right now because they are telling me I have no more "free" space and I need to purchase some more! BAH!!
Anyway I just wanted to say that over the past 2 weeks I have spent more continuous time with my children than I can remember and I LOVED IT!!! So call me weird, but I had a good time being stuck at home.
I loved that we were all snowed in unable to get out of our driveway. We would sleep until 9 or 10 and then enjoy a breakfast of hot chocolate, eggs, biscuits, pancakes, muffins, grapefruit and milk! Then we would spend about an hour making beds, doing dishes, vacuuming floors etc. Next we would bundle up and head outside to play in the snow for a few hours! We would slide down the front yard/driveway, make igloos, sno angels, shovel off the porches, decks and stairs. After we were frozen we would come in and enjoy toasted cheese sandwiches and tomato soup. Then we would watch a movie, or do a craft. Lacey, Lexi and myself made some cute yarn wreaths that I will post as soon as I purchase some of the above mentioned space! I loved that the outside world just left us alone and there were no requirements from anybody...we did just want we wanted and felt like doing for 2 whole weeks!!!!.
The snow has now turned to the ugly gray slushy stuff, the roads are pretty much cleared and tomorrow we have school and work. Time to put are noses back to the grindstone...
It was a fun and relaxing break :)

Fourteen Inches of Snow!!
We've made history A record snowfall of 14 inches fell in Tulsa Tuesday.
Schools have been closed since last Tuesday(2/1/2011) and Lexi has declared that we have had enough Family Time to last a whole year!!!
Since we haven't been able to go ANYWHERE we've bundled up and gone outside to play!
Aparently these girls thought they had to be all pretty and put on make-up to go sledding...
Add caption
We cleared the deck off and from that snow Sam built a couple of igloos
He turned this one into a tunnel.
Chase had fun getting on top of Papa's truck and jumping into the bed full of snow!
This is Sam's winter gear...
I guess we might need to invest in some boots for the kid!
Nuna shoveling 6.2 tons of snow off the deck.
Sammy
Rooney
Davis could not get enough snow or icicles to eat. He would gather handful after handful and then he would cry because his hands and face were cold.
This kid just had fun playing, sliding, jumping and making snow angels.
We just found out school is closed tomorrow (Monday) and we are in for another snowstorm on Tuesday!! Looks like another week of way too much family time! Hope we (I) survive!!!

Beautiful Girl Inside and Out
Chase Funny
Today during dinner Chase went to put a bite of chicken in his mouth and right before he popped it in he asked, "Is this hot?...Not 'cute' hot..." We all looked at him and then we cracked up!! Didn't even know he knew there was such a thing as 'cute hot'. Bytheway, we asked him if his mom was 'cute hot' and he replied, "No!" Sorry Lacey. He wouldn't tell us who was 'cute hot'...he would just smile and get embarrasssed.

It's Been a Year
One year ago we bought our house.
We added some space in the garage entrance.
Sam has mastered climbing the rocks in the family room.
We laid sod on the front side yard.
just to have it all washed away in a torrential rain storm. We have since planted grass by seed and it has done much better.
We tore out these bushes and planted grass and put flowers in.
Trimmed the trees.
Planted the front flower beds.
Chopped down several trees.
Raked up over a hundred bags of leaves and that is not an exageration! It's been a good year and I love my house!
