How the Haynies Have Fun During Spring Break

So much fun we had during Spring Break!
Alisha and kids came for a visit!
She loaded all four kids and even the dog, Winnie
and drove to Tulsa for Spring Break.
We met her in Little Rock and helped her drive.
Of course there was lots of yummy food.
On Monday Lacey made her famous egg roll dinner which consisted of
3 types of egg rolls:
Original
Southwestern
and
Apple Pie Egg Roll

This is how the kids "chilled"
It was kinda unfortunate that Emma, Nate Dogg and Kena
caught a little flu bug from Davis
but all in all it was short lived and we still had lots of fun.

We didn't really do to much running around.
We mainly stayed home and enjoyed one another.

Tuesday Sam constructed a tree swing and we all took turns.
It was quite hilarous!

Lexi was so graceful...

There was time for sister to get out and get plenty of exercise and sunshine.
Our neighborhood has quite of few hills and so a couple a times around the block gives you a pretty good workout!

Winnie the dog loved these walks!

Wednesday we met up with Lacey M. and DeAnn
and played soccer.
It was a bit chilly this day but we had a fun time!
The soccer team!!

And of course Lacey headed up a session of making rainbow cupcakes for
St Patrick's Day

Winnie looking on and wanting to come and help make the cupcakes!

Carden and her pet snake.
(We have a stream in our front yard and lots and lots of rocks, so of course there are plenty of snakes to be found for pets!!!
And of course we all did our fair share of raking leaves!
the kids may not want to come back to Nuna's house
because she makes the rake and pick of leaves!
(I think we filled close to a hundred bags of leaves!)

For all of our hard work Papa took us to Freddy's and treated us to hambergers, french fries and of course
CONCRETES!!!!

On Saturday we had to say good-bye. We woke up around 8 am on Saturday only to find it snowing! Just the day before it was 70 degrees and we were out raking leaves. The plan was to help Alisha drive to Little Rock and then she would meet Nate in Memphis. We started out but only got to Coweta (about 30 miles out of Tulsa) and had to turn around and come home because it was suppose to snow a good 8 inches (which it did) and we were afraid the we couldn't get back home. Alisha went on, which was good because by the time she hit the interstate it was only raining. She made in home late the evening, thank heavens! We were so glad that she and kids came it truly was a very memorable Spring Break and hopefully one of many times that they will come to Nuna and Papa's house!

I am so excited to come to your house and I am excited that my kids are going to have an adventurous time at their grandparent's house!
